Answer:

6 which is none of your answers.

Are you sure your function is right?

Is value to plug in x=-8?

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the value of the function at x=-8, you replace x with -8 in the function.

g(x)=3(x+10)

g(-8)=3(-8+10)

g(-8)=3(2)

g(-8)=6

g(-8) = 6.

The value of g(x) = 3(x + 10) when x = -8 is:

Substituting x = -8 in the function g(x)

g(-8) = 3 (-8+ 10)

Solving the operation in the  parenthesis

g(-8) = 3 (-8 + 10)

g(-8) = 3 (2)

Solving the multiplication

g(-8) = 6

How can linear equations and functions be written and graphed? Explain how shifting the graph changes the function.
suter [353]
Linear equations are written as y = C1x + C2 where C1 & C2 are constants. They are graphed by plugging in numbers for y or x and solve for the other. For example if you have an equation y = 3x + 6 you then for y = 1 you have 1 = 3x + 6 -> x = -5/3 you then take the two coordinates (-5/3,1) and plot the point do this for further numbers and connect the points with a straight line. Shifting the graph up or down will change the value of C2 and shifting the graph left or right will change C1.

[] Similar

-> The triangles are similar because they were "mirrored" by the...

[] SSS

-> ... by the SSS similarity theorem, the sides are...

[] Proportional

-> ... the sides are proportional.

[] AB/AC

-> Since the sides are proportional, dividing corresponding sides will leave us with the same number

[] For the last two I think I am missing some information as I do not have any numbers and know where they got 85 from.

Have a nice day!

Plz answer the following No scams, links or random amswers or ill report
zvonat [6]

Answer:

f(2) = 12

f(x) = 7, x = -3, 1

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>a)</u>

plug in x as 2

f(x) = 2^2 + 2(2) + 4

f(x) = 4 + 4 + 4

f(x) = 12

<u>b)</u>

replace f(x) with 7

7 = x^2 + 2x + 4

x^2 + 2x - 3 (move 7 to other side)

Factor

ac: -3x^2

b: 2x

split b into 3x, -x

(x^2 -x) + (3x - 3)

    ↓             ↓

  x(x-1)  +  3(x-1)

Factor: (x-1)(x+3) = 0

Solve using Zero Product Property:

x - 1 = 0, x + 3 = 0

x = 1, x = -3
