 The inverse of 6/1 is 1/6, then

(1/8) ÷ (6) = (1/8) x (1/6) = 1/48

$\frac{1}{8}$  ÷ 6

$\frac{1}{8}$  ÷ $\frac{6}{1}$

$\frac{1}{8}$ ⋅ $\frac{1}{6}$

1⋅1=1
8⋅6=48

= $\frac{1}{48}$
