The Grand Prairie is full of grasses, shrubs, and small trees. These grasslands are fit for raising cattle. Livestock in this region includes goats, sheep, poultry, and hogs. Fort Worth is the largest city in the Grand Prairie and Texas Central Plains.

The Rolling Plains found in the western part of the Central Plains where it is cover with grasses in mountainous terrain. The area has brushes and hardwood trees. The Rolling Plains suited for cattle ranching by providing shelter for cattle, along with food and water. Abilene and Wichita Falls are its cities.

The population is low in the Rolling Plains. The area serves as meat and dairy processing and distribu­tes to its sub-region.
