In a pinch, a pile of bricks or water pipes can be used in place of jack stands when using hydraulic jacks true or false?
77julia77 [94]
A pile of bricks can be used in place of jack stands because they will stack neatly against each other, making a solid base to hold up what the jack stands were intended for.. Water pipes are not recommended because they are round and when stacked together, or singly for that matter, would roll. Water pipes would NOT be a steady base. A pile of bricks is acceptable; water pipes are not.

How many years of college do you have to do to go to the nfl?
serg [7]
!!four years!!
Players wanting to enter the NFL draft must use all of their college eligibility before the next college football season starts. Typically, that means they complete four years of college and graduate with a degree of their choosing. Those who have not yet graduated can petition the NFL to enter the draft early

To avoid injury when you're putting an item down, proper technique involves:
ale4655 [162]

I am not properly educated on this, but I do know you are always meant to lift and set things down by using your legs to either heighten or lower yourself and the item. You would do this by squatting, grabbing the item, and returning to a standing position, the opposite goes for setting it back down. Do NOT use your back, so don't bend over to do this.
