Viral infections affect your immune system, when attacking it, your body works very hard to fight against them and sometimes causes a change in homeostasis as you might increase your body temperature (fever) or you might get a headache (increased blood pressure). All this can happen after the virus is “killed” because your body is trying to regain homeostasis (a balance)

What happens in Citric acid cycle?
V125BC [204]

Answer:

Explanation:

Cellular respiration generally involves breaking down of large organic molecules to release ATP (energy). Citric Acid cycle, also known as Kreb's cycle or Tricarboxylic acid cycle is the second stage of the cellular respiration (unique to aerobic organisms). Citric acid cycle occurs in the intracellular space or matrix of the mitochondria of eukaryotes.

Glycolysis, which is the first step of cellular respiration, produces pyruvate which is then converted to Acetyl CoA in order to enter the Kreb's cycle by first combining with oxaloacetate. Generally, citric acid cycle involves an eight-steps reaction consisting of series of reduction-oxidation, hydration, dehydration, decarboxylation reactions, with each step catalyzed by different enzymes.

In a nutshell, oxaloacetate is generated back at the completion of the cycle alongside 2 molecules of CO2, one GTP/ATP molecule and electron donors; NADH2 and FADH2. These reduced electron donors enter the third step of aerobic cellular respiration and act as the first electron donor in the Electron transport chain.

write a 5-7 sentence paragraph explaining what happens to co2 levels in the world over the course of the year. add as much conte
Hunter-Best [27]

Answer:

The amount of CO2 found in the atmosphere varies over the course of a year. Much of this variation happens because of the role of plants in the carbon cycle. Respiration happens all the time, but dominates during the colder months of the year, resulting in higher CO2 levels in the atmosphere during those months.

What occurs in the light independent reactions?
baherus [9]

Answer:

Light energy is harnessed in Photosystems I and II, both of which are present in the thylakoid membranes of chloroplasts. In light-independent reactions (the Calvin cycle), carbohydrate molecules are assembled from carbon dioxide using the chemical energy harvested during the light-dependent reactions.
