Why was the idea of black enlistments resistes even in the north?

English
1 answer:
Lemur [1.5K]3 years ago

Sadly, even those white folks who understood the sin of slavery, also believed that black folks were inferior to them. Some folks, although not many, still believe that to be true.

However, during that era it was nearly universal that white folks felt superior to black folks. As society evolves, that type of racism lessens. Even if it's thought to be benign, racism of any kind is a sin.

Hope this helps BryanPortillo
