New England colonies were able to develop several industries because of the geographical conditions. New England had access to natural resources including forests and mountains, where they collected timber to built ships. Fishing and whaling because of colonies situated in the coastal region. Harvesting of corn, pumpkins, rye, squash and beans. Trade and economic activity in the New England Colonies was much more vibrant than any other colonies.
