The answer is 9/50 .
first find the common denominator which will be 100 .
so you multiply 10 to the numerator ans the denominator of 1/10 to get 10/100
now you have to add 8/100+10/100= 18/100
you're not done yet because now you have to simplify your answer.
all you have to do is divide both by 2
to get 18/2=9 and 100/2=50
so your answer is 9/50

To add two fractions you have to make the fractions a one denominator.
in this question you can multiply the denominator and numerator of 1/10 by 10 to match the denominators,

1×10/10×10 + 8/100
=10/100+8/100
=18/100
=9/50

answer=9/50
hope this helps.....

Which sentence has an inappropriate shift in verb tense?
astra-53 [7]

Answer:

C. We watched as the horses cantering around the corral.

Explanation:

At the beginning of the sentence, we notice that the words, we watched, are focused in past tense, whereas we see that the words, cantering around, is focused on present tense verbs. fixing these words together within the same sentence, makes the whole sentence fall out of order, and overall, grammatically incorrect.
