Adjectives are words that modify, describe or gives further information about nouns and pronouns. While a noun is a word that names a thing, a person, an animal, a place, an idea, a feeling, and others, a pronoun is a word that can replace a noun, like <em>he</em> which can replace the noun <em>Marcus</em>, for example.
The eight adjectives in the passage are the following:
1. <u>Drifting</u>: It describes the noun “fog.”
2. <u>Narrow</u> and 3. <u>River</u>: They both describe the noun “valleys”
4. <u>Thick</u>: It describes the noun “forest”
5. <u>Chill</u>: It describes “mist”.
6. <u>Quiet</u> and 7. <u>Little</u>: They both describe the noun “farms”
8. <u>Picturesque</u>: It describes the noun “countryside”
