It is the war between coalition nations (35) led by the US and Iraq in response of invasion and annexation of Kuwait by the latter. The leader of Iraq at that time, Saddam Hussein, ordered to invade the territory of Kuwait in order to expand Iraqi power in the region. This annexation was a potential threat to Arabia Saudi, so the UN Council decided to take measures and in the end of the operation Kuwait was granted with independence and it was prohibited for Iraq to have long-range missiles and destroy ones they had.
