THe Manhattan Project was a poject by the United States to develop nuclear weaponery that could help end WWII, eventually came to life with the creation of the atomic bomb, and the bombing on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The day the music died, is a reference to the day that Richie Valens, Buddy Holly and the Big Bopper died in a plane crash in Iowa, the term became popular after Don Mclean made a reference to the day in his song "American Pie"
