Hey there! :)

Answer:

We can use the Pythagorean theorem to show that both triangles contain equivalent shorter legs:

Triangle A:

13² = 12² + b²

169 = 144 + b²

25 = b²

b, or the other leg, = 5 cm.

--------------------------------------

Triangle B:

c² = 12² + 5²

c² = 144 + 25

c² = 169

c = 13 cm.

---------------

Both triangles contain legs with side-lengths 5, 12, and 13 cm. The triangles are congruent because the lengths of the corresponding sides between triangle A and B are equivalent, which was proved using the Pythagorean Theorem.

Publishers of a magazine wish to determine what proportion of the magazine's 50,000 subscribers are pleased with their subscript
inessss [21]

Answer:

d. Mail surveys to 1,000 subscribers randomly selected from those who have received the magazine for 5 years or more and 1,000 subscribers randomly selected from those who have received the magazine for 1 year or less.

Step-by-step explanation:

In the case of the publishers of the magazine, in order to avoid bias, they would adopt he approach mentioned in the above statement. That is, to consider both those that have recieved the magazine for the past five years or more as well as those who have recieve the magazine for the past one year or less.

This would help them to have a balanced outcome in the survey because all, would attend the the survey with a free mindset rather than baised mindset.

The equation for x: 3(x - 4) = 3x + 2 *
mash [69]

Answer:

No Solution

Step-by-step explanation:

For the left side of the equation, we can use distributive property

3(x-4)= 3x+2

3x-12=3x+2

  +12     +12

3x= 3x+14

-3x -3x

0 is not equal to 14

Derive the equation of the parabola with a focus at (−2, 4) and a directrix of y = 6. Put the equation in standard form.
zlopas [31]
Sketch a graph so you can find the vertex and determine if the parabola is horizontal or vertical. When i graph (-2,4) and then y=6, I find the middle is (-2,5) so that will be the vertex. The distance to the vertex is -1 so 4p=-4.
My formula is (x-h)^2=4p(y-k), now just plug in numbers. You should end up with (x+2)^2=-4(y-5).
Some instructors want you to write (y-k)=1/(4p)(x-h)^2 which is the same thing, so check to see which one you should be using.
