1 1/2 divided by 1/2 = 3
So each cup would be 3
So therefore you would multiply by 3 I believe idk and then you will get 9

Juli2301 [7.4K]

The correct question is:

The graph attached shows the number of points Derek scored

during his first five basketball games.

Write a multiplication equation and a division equation that compare the number of points Derek scored during Game 1 (x) to the number of points Derek scored during Game 4 (y).

Answer:

Multiplication equation is y = 3x

Division equation is x = y/3

Step-by-step explanation:

During Game 1, Derek had 6 points

Let x be this point, that is

x = 6

During Game 4, he had 18 points

Let y be this point, that is

y = 18

Notice that he has three times as many point in Game 4 as he had in Game 1. (Because 18 is 6 × 3)

This can be written mathematically as

18 = 6 × 3

y = x × 3 (where y is 18, and x is 6)

y = 3x (this is multiplication equation)

If you divide both sides by 3, we have

x = y/3 (this is the division equation)

SSSSS [86.1K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

A. Hours driving on monday= 5\frac{3}{4}=23/4 hours (5 x 4 +3)

Hours driving on tuesday= 4\frac{3}{4}=19/4 hours (4 x 4 +3)

Total hours = 23/4 + 19/4 = 42/4 = 10\frac{2}{4} hours

B. Total hours driving = Hours driving on (Monday + tuesday + wednesday + thursday)

Hours driving on wednesday= 2\frac{1}{4}=9/4 hours (2 x 4 +1)

Hours driving on thursday= 6\frac{3}{4}=27/4 hours (6 x 4 +3)

Total hours driving = 23/4 + 19/4 + 9/4 +27/4 = 78/4 = 19\frac{2}{4} hours
