He built the machine and tried it with various patients, collecting data about its effectiveness. When a patient’s kidneys failed, he wondered if it would be possible to perform kidney functions with an external machine. He researched and collected data about numerous patients who exhibited symptoms of kidney failure. He drew conclusions from studies of various symptoms of kidney failure, and drew a design for the ideal external blood-processing machine.

Differentiate the components of fluid connective tissue?
Stolb23 [73]

Answer:

The components of the fluid connective tissue are red blood cells, white blood cell and blood platelets

Explanation:

The connective tissues refer to tissues composed of some class of matrix. The blood is considered a fluid connective tissue which is composed of red blood cells (erythrocytes), white blood cell (leukocytes) and blood platelets (thrombocytes). Erythrocytes are cells that contain hemoglobin and whose function is to transport oxygen to the body. Leukocytes are cells involved in the immune responses which act to protect the body against both foreign pathogenic invaders. Finally, thrombocytes are cell fragments that form clots and stop bleeding.

What are leaves important?
Likurg_2 [28]
To a plant, leaves are food producing organs. Leaves "absorb" some of the energy in the sunlight that strikes their surfaces and also take in carbon dioxide from the surrounding air in order to run the metabolic process of photosynthesis. The green color of leaves, in fact, is caused by an abundance of the pigment "chlorophyl" which is the specific chemical agent that acts to capture the sunlight energy needed for photosynthesis. The products of photosynthesis are sugars and polysaccharides. An important "waste product" of photosynthesis is oxygen. To an animal, a leaf may be a food source or a place to live on or under.

What is the most likely reason that a moon is spherically shaped?
Montano1993 [528]

Answer:

The size of the moon ensures that it has some considerable gravitational force associated with its mass. This is unlike asteroids that are not large enough to have significant gravitational forces associated with their relatively low mass. Therefore when the moon was molten in its early years of formation, gravity due to its mass, caused materials to be pulled down towards its center. The molten rock, before it cooled into solid rock, got distributed more or less into a sphere because the force of gravity pulls from all sides from the center of mass.
