Venus is the hottest planet in the solar system, however, Mercury has the most extreme temperatures. So, when you cancel these out that should leave you with your answer!

it would be volcanic activity. since there is no water available on the surface and the high pressure and temperature it would be volcanic activity. and mercury has the most extreme temperature.
