Similarities-
-Both graphs have the same shape (open downward, same symmetry axis, same, x-coordinate of the vertex).
Differences-
-the maximum value of -2x^2 is 0
-the maximum value of -2x^2 + 4 is 4-the graph of y= -2x^2 + 4 is the graph -2x^2 shifted 4 units upward as consequence of having summed 4 to the function.
