Widespread anti-Chinese sentiment in the late 1800's resulted in the passing of the Chinese Exclusion Act (1882).

The Chinese-Exclusion Act was implemented for several different reasons. This was partly influenced by nativists who feared that immigrants in America were going to change American values and culture. Along with this, many Americans did not like Chinese immigrants because they were willing to work for less than American workers. This included working for less on important jobs like the development of the Transcontinental Railroad.

describe the change experience from the paleolithic era to the neolithic era. discuss how this change influenced the development
N76 [4]

The change that drove the transition from the Paleolithic to the Neolithic era, was the emergence of farming activities, both agriculture and animal husbandry. Previously, people only ate what they could hunt, fish or collect in the nature but, at this point in history, they learnt how to grow their own food, and hence, stopped being nomads and started to create settlements and villages for permanent stays.

More complex societies arose, where people acquired different roles. This was also the origin of the specialization and the division of labor. Specialists were able to develope tools which, in turn, enhanced the productivity of the agricultural activities and ended up giving rise to production surpluses (more food than the amount necessary for subsistence) and to trade activities.

The Neolithic starts 15,000 years ago and last until the Chalcolithic period which took place about 6,500 years ago.

What was the basis of the watergate scandal answers?
Andru [333]
An illegal break in at the Watergate Hotel in Washington DC during the Democratic Convention. What seemingly started out as a common burglary gradually took on greater significance. Largely but not solely as a result of investigative journalism by two Washington Post reporters, Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, the trail went back to the White House and indeed the Oval Office.
It reflected the paranoia of Nixon and the corrupt and illegal practices of his advisers and cronies. It eventually led to Nixon's resignation and jail sentences for some of the most powerful men surrounding him such as John Dean, Bob Haldeman and John Erlichman.
