Carbon is found in the atmosphere in the form of CO

Explanation:

Carbon has a wide distribution in atmosphere and the environment of the Earth. It produces components of different gases by compounding with oxygen. It is mainly found in the form of the gas Carbon di oxide in atmosphere.

Another compound form of carbon is CO or carbon monoxide. It is a dangerously harmful gas that causes death. It has no smell and colour. It has been seen at the fumes that are produced by burning fuel of the vehicles, stoves etc. Inhaling this gas can kill anyone.

What can you do to play an active role in cancer prevention?
melisa1 [442]

Answer: Although humans cannot prevent all cancers, a healthy diet and weight followed by adequate exercise, sleep, and stress reduction all play a part in cancer reduction.

Cancer occurs when cells multiply uncontrollably and are not "cleaned up" by the body. We are dependent on our bodies recognizing and destroying old cells and foreign substances like toxins. When our body's fail to do this, either through stress, poor diet or being sedentary, cancer could result.

Hope this helps.

What are the benefits/risks associated with the addition of antibiotics and genetically modified
Korolek [52]
One major risk is mutation. Diseases can mutate just has how we have genetic mutations. The bacteria in the cattle may become immune to the drugs over a long period of time, or mutate and become immune. As we try to fight it with more antibiotics, it may become immune to those as well, eventually creating a bacteria immune to most antibiotics, leaving us unable to fight it, especially in poorer areas, due to the fact that if we did create new antibiotics they would be more expensive than your common antibiotic, such as penicillin.<span />

Describe how changes in an ecosystem can affect organisms that live there..
Shtirlitz [24]
Well it really depends on what kind of change there is. For this I'll use a drought as an example. If a drought occurs in an area the plant life and vegetation will start to die off in that area. From there, primary consumers would run out of food. then secondary consumers, and so forth and so on. it'd be like putting a cow in a field of dirt with no food and a large bucket of water. Eventually the cow will die of starvation. Now apply this to all of the animals in that ecosystem.

Describe the processes of metabolism and photosynthesis
Pani-rosa [81]

Carbon dioxide is converted into sugars in a process called carbon fixation; photosynthesis captures energy from sunlight to convert carbon dioxide into carbohydrate. ... These nutrients are oxidized to produce carbon dioxide and water, and to release chemical energy to drive the organism's metabolism.
