I believe its high start up costs because they both had the same amount of money however Ron was able to start up his company while Nick is having to raise additional funds.

It is also the only one that makes sense because there is no information provided about demand for tv's in his country and he doesn't even have a factory due to insufficient funds so its impossible to be lack of labor and "an irrelevant business idea" is just... dumb <span />
