The 3 types of muscle tissue are cardiac, smooth, and skeletal. Cardiac muscle cells are located in the walls of the heart, the fibres are made up of many cells which are joined end to end through intercalated discs, the cells are uninucleate, appear striated, and are myogenic.

Smooth muscle fibers are located in walls of alimentary canal, blood vessels and other tubular visceral organs, made up of long spindle-shaped cells, are uninucleate with the nucleus being centrally located and are also under involuntary control.

Skeletal muscle fibers occur in muscles which are attached to the skeleton. They are striated in appearance, multinucleated and the nuclei are peripherally located and are under voluntary control. The muscle tissues have nucleus.
