A story can take a first-person perspective wherein the reader will have a deep connection with the main character in the story. However, his point-of-view will only be limited to what that character thinks. It can take the second-person perspective wherein<u><em> the writer or author wants to directly convey his message to the reader.</em></u> Another perspective is the third-person wherein the reader will know everything that is happening in the story. A change in perspective changes the tone of the narrator, as well as his point-of-view. This largely affects the readers'/audiences' understanding.
