I think some parts of Hammurabi's code were too severe. I believe this because sometimes it affected innocent people. Some occasions of this are when a man's son is killed because of the father building something faulty. Sometimes it is fair though such as when a man who is too lazy to fix his dam causes it to flood and he has to pay for the crops lost in the flood.

Mary's son, adam, is two years old. if mary falls down and hurts herself, adam most likely will then mimic her. At the age of two, child will most likely follow everything he sees. Everything is right at the eyes of the child. Expressing emotions is healthy, although they aren't happy ones. You can also inform your child that they can also be unhappy sometimes. Be careful also of your actions and using of words.

There were many new opportunities in western united states in the 1800s. There was a gold rush in California and many traveled there seeking profit from selling gold. There was also a lot of unclaimed land that farmers wanted to claim. New territories needed new governments as more people were moving west. Many also moved to the west for railroad work.
