Read this excerpt from The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe

English
1 answer:
Sati [7]3 years ago
4 0

The statement which best explains what the word choice in this excerpt reveals  about Crusoe is the following: "the phrase 'it was a merry reflection' reveals that Crusoe is happy  and content" (D).

The general tone of the excerpt is positive, almost cheerful. This is indicated by the author's use of phrases like "how like  a king I looked" or "it was remarkable." The fact that Crusoe finds something as neutral as his reflection "merry" also shows that he is optimistic about his current situation.

read the excerpt from act I scene i of romeo and juliet the fact that this dialogue contains elements of a Shakespearean sonnet
Alex17521 [72]
Romeo is portrayed as dramatic and impulsive and yet passionate and romantic. Sonnets are elegant and beautifully crafted works of literature (especially shakespearean sonnets) and Romeo's love for passion fate and destiny fall in eloquently structured words as he mourns his unrequited love, foreshadowing the intensity of the love to come with Juliet.

What is your question
Vast means too large to see and trunk less means Legs without a body. If referring to problems that is a figurative way of saying it is too large of a problem and being trunkless means no substance. And too many little things building up to too many things.
Lots of interpretations above without a question or context. Sorry I wasn’t much more of a help
