When scientists analyzed drilling samples from the Glomar Challenger study, which discovery did they make about rocks in relatio
Ahat [919]

The correct answer is:

Rocks closer to the ridge are newer.

The Glomar Challenger was a drilling ship built in 1968 to gather samples from the ocean floor. The study found that the more distant away from a ridge the samples were obtained, the older the rocks were. Therefore, the youngest rocks were always in the closer to the ridges. This was proof of the sea-floor spreading that had previously taken place.
