Answer: B. The nitrogen goes into the nodules of the plant.

Explanation:

The atmospheric nitrogen is not directly absorbed by the plants. In plants there are root nodules which in the absence of nitrogen in the soil develops a symbiotic association with the nitrogen fixing bacteria (eg. Rhizobia). This process can be seen among the leguminous plants like beans, soyabean and pea. Inside the root nodules the host specific bacteria fixes the atmospheric nitrogen in the form of usable compounds like ammonia, which is utilized in the production of the amino acids (the building blocks of proteins), nucleic acids (DNA, and RNA), energy molecules of ATP, and other cellular components like hormones, flavones and vitamins.

A scientist is looking at cells through the microscope. To determine if they are prokaryotic or Eukaryota, what should she look
andre [41]

Answer:

The correct option no is 2. To determine if they are prokaryotic or Eukaryota she should look for the nucleus.

Explanation:

Prokaryotes can be described as organisms that are single-celled and lack membrane-bound organelles. Eukaryotes can be described as multicellular organisms and they possess membrane-bound organelles.

In Eukaryotes, the hereditary material is present inside a membrane-bound organelle termed as the nucleus. The prokaryotes do not have a nucleus and their hereditary material is present in the cytoplasm. Hence, option no 2 is correct.

Other structures like DNA and ribosomes are present both in the prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells.
