2/3 f < -2 - 2

2/3 f < -4

f < -4 × 3/2

f < -6

Hope this helps!

If I am interpreting that right:

2f/3+2<-2 subtract 2 from both sides

2f/3<-4 multiply both sides by 3

2f<-12 divide both sides by 2

f<-6 or in interval notation

f=(-oo, -6)

lubasha [3.4K]

Answer:

x = 1 in

Step-by-step explanation:

We can use ratios to solve since they are similar triangles

6         6+x

----- = ---------

5          6

Using cross products

6*6 = 5*(6+x)

36 = 30+6x

Subtract 30 from each side

36-30 = 30-30+6x

6 = 6x

Divide each side by 6

6/6 = 6x/6

1 =x

Module 3 DBA: What key features can be identified from graphs of polynomials of higher-
Black_prince [1.1K]

Answer: Polynomials are algebraic expressions that contain more than two terms. AN example would be: f(x) = x^3 + x^2 + x +1. This equation contains three terms, with the 3rd degree as its highest term. It also means that the graph passed three x-intercepts. This depends in the highest degree. So, the first thing you do is plot the intercepts because for sure, the graph will pass there.

Find the equation for the line passing through the point (−1,1) ( − 1 , 1 ) and parallel to the line whose equation is y=2x+12.
tekilochka [14]
So, parallel lines have the same slope, therefore a parallel line to 2x+12, will have the same slope as that one, so which is it?   \bf y=\stackrel{slope}{2}x\stackrel{y-intercept}{+12}

so, we're really looking for the equation of a line whose slope is 2, and runs through -1,1.

\bf \begin{array}{lllll}
&x_1&y_1\\
%   (a,b)
&({{ -1}}\quad ,&{{ 1}})
\end{array}
\\\\\\
% slope  = m
slope = {{ m}}= \cfrac{rise}{run} \implies 2
\\\\\\
% point-slope intercept
\stackrel{\textit{point-slope form}}{y-{{ y_1}}={{ m}}(x-{{ x_1}})}\implies y-1=2[x-(-1)]
\\\\\\
y-1=2(x+1)\implies y-1=2x+2\implies y=2x+3

To observe the effect of a categorical IV on a categorical DV (or variables recoded categorically from quantitative data), you w
Sindrei [870]

Answer:

Dummy Coding

Step-by-step explanation:

Dummy Coding is used to observe the effect of one categorical variable on another.

In this case, the first categorical variable is independent (ICV) while the other is dependent (DCV).

The dummy coding system makes use of two numerical values; 0 representing the absence of an effect and 1 representing the presence of that effect.
