If I am interpreting that right:

2f/3+2<-2  subtract 2 from both sides

2f/3<-4  multiply both sides by 3

2f<-12  divide both sides by 2

f<-6 or in interval notation

f=(-oo, -6)

The midpoints of a regular hexagon are connected to form a smaller hexagon. The small hexagon has perimeter 2sqrt3. What is the
Ahat [919]

Answer:

4

Step-by-step explanation:

x - length of side of larger hexagon

y - length of side of smaller hexagon

We know that,

x/y = \sqrt{3} /2

y = 2x/\sqrt{3}

Hence,

perimeter of             = (2/\sqrt{3}) * perimeter of smaller hexagon

larger hexagon

                                 = (2/\sqrt{3})*2\sqrt{3}  \\= 4

Hatshy [7]

Answer

x = 1

Explanation:

Given the following equation

\begin{gathered} (2x+2)^{\frac{1}{2}}=\text{ -2} \\ \text{According to the law of indicies} \\ x^{\frac{1}{2}}\text{ = }\sqrt[]{x} \\ (2x+2)^{\frac{1}{2}}\text{ = }\sqrt[]{(2x\text{ + 2)}} \\ \text{Step 1: Take the square of both sides} \\ \sqrt[]{(2x\text{ + 2) }}\text{ = -2} \\ \sqrt[]{(2x+2)^2}=-2^2 \\ 2x\text{ + 2 = 4} \\ \text{Collect the like terms} \\ 2x\text{ = 4 - 2} \\ 2x\text{ = 2} \\ \text{Divide both sides by 2} \\ \frac{2x}{2}\text{ = }\frac{2}{2} \\ x\text{ = 1} \end{gathered}

Therefore, x = 1

Polygons ABCD and A'B'C'D' are shown on the following coordinate grid:A coordinate grid is shown from positive 6 to negative 6 o
Blababa [14]
<span>A(2, -2), B(4, -2), C(1, -3), D(5, -3).

A'(1, 2), B'(1, 4), C'(2, 1), D'(2, 5)

That looks like a rotation 90 degrees around the origin then a translation.

Let's do the rotation ABCD->A"B"C"D"

The rotation is (x,y)->(-y,x)

</span>A"(2, 2), B"(2,4), C"(3,1), D"(3,5).

Compare to

A'(1, 2), B'(1, 4), C'(2, 1), D'(2, 5)

we need to translate one unit to the left.

Answer: 90 degree rotation around the origin then translation by (-1,0)
