Let x be height of the shadow
30/15 = 90/x
Do cross multiplication
30x =1350
x = 45

Let h= height of the screen
1/4 of 45 is 11.25
H = 11.25 + 45
H= 56.25

There's your answer. I hope I did it right.

Height of the screen = x
height of the shadow = \frac{3}{4}x

ΔAEC ∼ ΔADB  ⇒

\frac{BD}{AB}= \frac{CE}{AC} \\  \\    \frac{15}{30}= \frac{ \frac{3}{4}x }{90+30} \\ \\  \frac{1}{2}= \frac{ \frac{3}{4}x }{120} \\ \\  \frac{3}{4}x = \frac{120*1}{2}=60 \\  \\ x=60: \frac{3}{4}=60* \frac{4}{3}=20*4=80 \ cm

Height of the screen is 80 cm.

Putting this as an arithmetic sequence gives:

u_n = 150+200(n-1)

The sum of the series = 16 x 7 x 7 = 784 m^3 = 784 000 L

The sum of an arithmetic series can be written as:

S_n=n/2 [2a+(n-1)d] = 784 000&#10;\\n/2[2(150)+(n-1)200] = 784 000&#10;\\n[300+200(n-1)=1 568 000&#10;\\300n+200n^2-200n = 1 568 000&#10;\\200n^2+100n- 1 568 000 = 0&#10;\\2n^2 +n- 15680 = 0&#10;&#10;\\n= 88.2...,-88.7

n has to be positive, so we get

n = <u>88.2 hours (3 s.f.)</u>

Pweaseee help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
juin [17]

Answer:

Andre.

Step-by-step explanation:

Andre's group was asked to write an expression equivalent to 5p²q + 7pq² - 10.

Andre gives the expression 7p²q + 7pq² - 1 - 2p²q - 9, which gives the expression 5p²q + 7pq² - 10.

Jill gives the expression 5p²q + 2 pq² - 6 + 5pq² - 3, which does not give the expression 5p²q + 7pq² - 10.

Now, Anuj gives the expression 4p²q + 7pq²- 7 + 2p²q - 3, which also does not give the expression 5p²q + 7pq² - 10.

Again, Marsha gives the expression 5p²q + 5 pq²- 10 + 3pq², which also does not gives the expression 5p²q + 7pq² - 10.

Hence, only Andre gives the correct expression. (Answer)
