D detailed descriptions of each player’s reaction to the new coach This is the correct answer.

Spencer is a boy and tells about his experience with a new football coach. He got really surprised- stunned- when he met the new coach; it was a woman. He expected any coach but a female coach. He got speechless and he got so surprised that he could not hear what she said. Spencer's reaction could be more effective if he added the reaction of the other players. Certainly, all of them would be as stunned as Spencer . This chain of reactions would make the personal narrative more enganging.

These options are not right:

A a paragraph that clearly establishes the narrative’s point of view. ( An explict reflection would make the narrative less effective. The reader has to feel the writer's attitude).

B engaging dialogue that tells the reader what the coach says to the team ( The focus is on the writer's reaction. In fact, what the coach actually said was not important).

C a thoughtful reflection that explains what the coach teaches Spencer. ( This is not important. The coach is a football coach and the stunning fact is that it is a woman).

pls answer What new meanings are suggested by the decisions of Doane Hoag and Jules Dassin, who wrote and directed the 1941 film
Anit [1.1K]

Answer and Explanation:

Doane Hoag and Jules Dassin were very faithful to Poe's narrative and presented the work as Poe wrote, but with visual and auditory effects that may have changed the meaning of the work for other people. I don't particularly believe that they added new meanings, but they intensified those reported by Poe. That's because the soundtrack, the play of light and shadow, the expression of the actors show the madness, the insanity, the cruelty, the torture and the folly of the story. In the film, the meaning of these things gets much stronger, because we can see Poe's words come to life and leave the role becoming something real. This was masterfully done by Doane Hoag and Jules Dassin.

Doss [256]
The purpose of Geoffrey Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales is to present the entire spectrum of human personalities by showing their qualities, flaws, and eccentricities. How does the author accomplish this feat? What attitude toward humankind emerges from this narrative poem?

Answer: I believe that the way he accomplished this feat was by coming up with the ingenuous literary device of having a pilgrimage, a technique that allowed him to bring together a diverse group of people. In this poem the attitude toward humankind is that of how society was separated by social status in that time.

I hope it helps, Regards.
