the correct inverse question is = Ont-ils peur .

Tu as faim ? = As-tu faim ?
Apprend-t-il le français = Apprend-il le français ?
Est-ce qu'il est Marc = Est-il Marc ?

You add a "t" when the verb ends by a vowel and  the subject begins by a vowel as :
A-t-il peur ?

if you have learned the "futur" tense or when you will, you'll use it because most verbs end by "a" at the 3rd singular person.......
Finira-t-il ? (will he finish ?)
Mangera-t-il ? (will he eat) .................
