Answer:

44 days

Explanation:

Given: Number of days outstanding= 365\ days

           Ending Accounts payable= \$ 1200

           Cost of goods sold (COGS)= \$ 10000

We always consider ending account payable amount while calculating days payable outstanding (DPO), as it is the amount that is payable to the vendor, supplier, etc. at the end of the period.

Formula; \textrm Days\ payable\ outstanding (DPO) = \frac{Account\ payable \times number\ of days}{Cost\ of\ goods\ sold}

Days payable outstanding (DPO)= \frac{1200\times 365}{10000} = 43.8 ≅ 44 \ days

∴ Barry bee´s average number of days payable outstanding are 44 days.

Days payable outstanding are calculated to know how company is managing the cash flow and account payable. Company with higher DPO takes higher number of days to pay it´s creditor, vendor, etc.

From the list below, select the items that are classified as a materials activity. Select the correct answers. a.Raw materials u
USPshnik [31]

Answer:

A) Raw materials used

B) Raw materials beginning inventory

C) Raw materials purchases

Explanation:

When we are calculating the cost of goods sold, we must calculate total direct   materials used + total direct labor + overhead overhead costs applied.

To calculate how much direct (raw and intermediate) materials are used, we start with our beginning inventory of (raw and intermediate) materials + purchases of (raw and intermediate) materials - ending inventory of raw materials - indirect materials used.

Some industries only calculate raw materials used, but others might include intermediate components in the equation.

Mandesa, Inc., has current liabilities of $8 million, current ratio of 2 times, inventory turnover of 12 times, average collecti
Brut [27]

Answer:

The answer is: Cash and marketable securities $5,406,393

Explanation:

We have:

+ Current ratio = Current asset / Current liabilities = 2; with Current liabilities is given at $8 million => Current asset is $16 million;

+ Current asset = Inventory + Account Receivable + Cash and marketable securities <=> Cash and marketable securities = $16 million - Inventory - Account Receivable ( as current asset is calculated above at $16 million)

+ Average collection period = Account Receivable/ Credit Sales x 365 <=> Account Receivable = Average collection period/365 x Credit sales = 30/365 x 64 million = $5,260,274

+ Inventory turnover = Sales / Inventory <=> Inventory = Sales/ Inventory turnover = 64 million / 12 = $5,333,333

=> Cash and marketable securities = 16,000,000 - 5,333,333 - 5,260,274 = $5,406,393.
