In the field of constitutional law, judicial review gives the power to the courts to examine the actions of all three branches of power in parliamentary democracy - judicial, executive and legislative, and to see if those actions are in consistence with the constitution. In the United States of America, the Supreme Court is in charge of determing whether regulations or laws follow the word of Constitution.

If there are inconsistencies with the Constitution, actions are declared unconstitutional and are therefore, annulled.

Defend the viewpoint of the Pennsylvania farmers who didn't want the whiskey tax.
Andrews [41]
The farmers were very much against the Whisky Tax that was made into law in 1791 during the administration of President George Washington. The purpose of the tax was to raise funds to pay for the war debt gained during the Revolutionary War. Farmers resisted this law and many of them were war veterans believed that they were battling against taxation that had no representation. Still the law was legal and the government reaffirmed that it was within Congress’ legal expression of its taxation laws. This led to widespread acts of violence that government sent the militia to quell the protesters.
