Equation: 7b-3=-2b+24

When solving these type of equations, you have to get the variable on one side by "itself".

To start off, add 2b to both sides

7b+2b-3=-2b+2b+24

Now add 3 to both sides

9b-3+3=24+3

It is now 9b=27

Now divide 27 by 9 (don't worry about the variable because you're dividing to FIND the variable value)

27 ÷ 9=3

Answer: b=3

John bought 12 books 2/3 of the books are science fiction how many of the books are science fiction
VladimirAG [237]
Hello!

Here are two ways to solve this problem. Way 1:

Convert the fraction to a decimal by dividing its numerator by its denominator.

2 ÷ 3 = 0.6666666667

Then, multiply the decimal by the total amount of books.

0.6666666667 × 12 = 8

Way 2:

Divide twelve by the denominator of the fraction, and then multiply it my the numerator.

12 ÷ 3 = 4

12 × 2 = 8

Thus, 8 of the 12 books are science fiction.

Find the measure of the exterior angle

pls, is urgent
tysm<3
liraira [26]

Answer:

134 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

a triange has a total of 180 degrees

this means the 2 angles in the are equal to

180-(last angle)=x+102

the exterior angle is also 180-(last angle)

thus you can set the two equal to each other

(4x+6)=x+102

move 6 and x

3x=96

x=32

plug in

(4(32)+6)=134

to check

180-134=46(last angle of the triangle)

32+102+46=180 (true)
