Rate is the distance traveled by the speed or how fast. One could therefore say that, m/ph or km/h or miles/distance. In this case, 30 metres = 3000 cm in 1000 years. This means that you will divide 3000/1000 years to get 3 cm per year.

One meter is 100 cm  which implies 30 meters is 30*100 cm which is 3000 cm. So the continent has moved 3000 cm in 1000 years.  So the distance traveled in one year will be 3000 cm divided by 1000 that is 3000/1000 which is 3cm/year  So the rate at which a continent is traveling is 3 cm/year.

The answer is - orogen forms.
Orogeny is the event that leads to a large structural deformation of the Earth's lithosphere, where the crust is affected and also the upper most part of the mantle layer, and this is as a result of the interaction of the plate tectonics. Why is it important to hear the water for this investigation? What heats the water in the oceans, lakes, and rivers found on Ear
Lady_Fox [76]

Answer:

The water in ocean, lakes and rivers are heated by the Sun, sunlight hits the ocean which is dispersed by the first 1000 meters of the oceans surface. This hot water is mixed with the cold water at the bottom of the ocean by ocean waves and this is the reason why ocean waves are at a regular temperature.

In a lake the water is heated the same way but there is not much water to mix the hot water with the cold so the water in the lake seems hotter than the ocean.

In a river the water keeps on flowing which mixes the hot water with the cold and the temperature remains regular.

Explanation:

Sound is a wave which is created by vibration, and these sound waves can travel in different mediums for example, air, liquid and even solid.
