kap26 [50]

The woman have heterozygous (Dd) gene so she should have one dominant gene and one recessive gene. When her cells undergo meiosis, the gene would be split and the result of the child would be 50% cell with dominant gene and 50% cell with recessive gene.

Her child that have dominant gene will have 50% chance to inherit the dominant gene into the woman grandchildren. So, the total chance would be: 50% * 50%= 25%

Imagine there are two different cells, cell A and cell B. Explain why lactic acid, carbon dioxide and only 2 ATP are produced in
lesya692 [45]
It is because cell a undergone anaerobic respiration, that occurs in the absence of oxygen, which produced lactic acid especially in human muscles, and because it's a incomplete oxidation of sugar, therfore the atp, which is a kind of store energy, is less.

However cell b undergone aerobic respiration, which produces water molecules. It occurs with the presence of oxygen, and its a complete oxidation of sugar, therfore it produces more atp.

How do pH levels affect enzymes
slamgirl [31]
Enzymes function best at the normal pH level they were made to be in. Most work best at a neutral pH level (7), but some enzymes such as pepsin (located in the stomach) work best in very acidic pH levels. If the pH level becomes too acidic for the enzyme, it can lead to denaturing of the enzyme's active site.
