4 The second battery-charger combination tested was the Mao Tek 2G. It was the least expensive and its performance was rated as

average for both devices. The recharge time was only about twelve hours. The recharged batteries performed as well as they did on the first tests. In paragraph 4 the author comments about the Mao Tek 2G as "the least expensive" and he says "its performance was rated as average..." Does the phrase "the least expensive" have a positive or negative connotation? Why?

'Least expensive' has a negative connotation.

Explanation:

The paragraph calls the product's performance as average and then says that the product is least expensive, by association itself it conveys a negative connotation.

However, the phrase can be taken to mean that it is expensive, it is just just the least expensive out of other options available which is a back handed complement.

Finally still, it can mean that the quality of the product is suspect and hence it is priced lower than the other ones. All of these give away a negative connotation.

Write one paragraph evaluating franklin d roosevelt
bixtya [17]

Answer:

Franklin Delano Roosevelt (1882-1945) was the 32nd President of the United States, holding that office from 1933 to 1945. Coming into office during the Great Depression, FDR championed welfare, social security, job creation, and other things primarily devoted towards helping the working class. , young FDR developed a fascination with boats and stamps. The interest in boats helped motivate him to join the U.S. Navy, where he served in World War I.Unlike Lincoln, FDR didn't have personal experiences with this. His childhood was one of extreme privilege, but that didn't stop him from becoming the people's president.

You are my hero, Dad
You're my secure foundation.
When I think of you, I'm filled with love
And fond appreciation.

You make me feel protected;
I'm sheltered by your care.
You're always my true friend; and Dad,
When I need you, you're always there.

You have a place of honor
Deep within my heart.
You've been my superhero, Dad,
Right from the very start.

Roman55 [17]

Answer:

hey killing yourself is NEVER the solution to anything. If your parents call you a dissapointment, the prove them that they are wrong. If you think that you are going to fail your 7th grade, then study harder and get help from your friends or teachers. Don't be aftraid to ask help from them. Btw, success comes from failure.
