The person who felt rejected was then motivated to devalue their partner and become distant from him/her.
Self-fulfilling prophecy is a psychological term describing a dynamic process in which an incorrect estimation of a situation makes a person behave in a particular way. In turn, this behaviour makes the original false estimation of the situation to come true. In this example, people that were falsely expecting to be rejected by their partners created an environment to trigger the rejection from their partners. In conclusion, the most immediate response to rejection and the feeling of hurt is to reject the partner in turn.

When we decide that there is something about the situation that is causing a behavior, we are making a(n) ________ attribution.
fiasKO [112]

When we decide that there is something about the situation that is causing a behavior , we are making a situational attribution.

Explanation:

Attribution theory mainly deals with how common people deal with the causes of events and behavior .For example if somebody is angry then there are two reason for being so , the first reason is the person is hot- tempered or something worse has happened.

Situational attribution is such that looks at the outside factor that is causing an act.One of the example of situational attribution is that a person scored well in his exam because it was an an easy paper, here easy paper is the external factor that's why the person scored well.

What were some of the social and cultural beliefs that became widespread during the age of jackson? what lay behind these belief
iogann1982 [59]

With the removal of Indians from American territory, the white nation became stronger. Jackson was the first democratically elected president. He fought for the "common man" and against banks.

Was the Jacksonian era a democratic era?

Even though Andrew Jackson was only president from 1829 to 1837, his impact on American politics was felt both before and after his presidency. The period from approximately 1824 to 1840 has been referred to as the "Age of Jacksonian Democracy" and the "Era of the Common Man."

However, by modern standards, the United States was far from democratic. Women could not vote and were legally under the control of their husbands; free blacks were considered second-class citizens at best, if not completely disenfranchised; and slavery was expanding in the southern states.

Furthermore, the period saw the relocation of Native Americans west of the Mississippi River, as well as the concentration of wealth in fewer and fewer hands. However, changes occurred that broadened political participation and reform movements emerged to address inequalities in American society.
