How did Cortes' actions in Mexico against the Aztecs influence Pizzaro in Peru against the Incas?
timama [110]

Answer: D) Pizzaro had heard of the riches Cortes had gained in Mexico and hoped to conquer the Incas in order to do the same.

Explanation:

Francisco Pizarro was a second cousin to Hernán Cortés who had conquered the Aztecs in Mexico and had gained much riches and fame for doing so. Pizarro was quite obsessed with this and sought to make his own mark and acquire as much riches as Cortés.

After hearing about the possible existence of a rich empire in South America he pled his case with King Charles I of Spain who allowed him to go against the Incas whom he conquered and acquired riches from much like his second cousin Cortes.
