Answer:

A. They occur naturally in rocks and minerals.

Explanation:

Vitamins are substances that the body cannot produce and therefore need to be part of the diet. Its main sources are places where they occur naturally, such as fruits and vegetables, but they are also found in meat, milk, eggs and cereals. Accordingly, we can say that vitamins do not occur naturally in rocks and minerals, but are made by living things, such as plants.

Vitamins perform various functions in development and organic metabolism and are required by the body in small quantities. However, they are not used as energy or as a cellular replacement material. They work as additives - they are indispensable to the energy-producing mechanism and others, but in small quantities.

The vitamins are generally present in natural foodstuffs, but certain vitamins are provided as supplements.

Further Explanation:

The vitamins are compounds that are supposed to be included in the diet as our body cannot synthesis them. The vitamin needs of the body are mainly fulfilled by the food we eat. Every organism has different requirements for different vitamins. For example, dogs are capable of producing vitamin C in enough quantity, whereas humans cannot. Humans need to consume vitamin C through food items. Vitamin D is obtained through exposure to sunlight, as it cannot be obtained from food. When exposed to the sun, the body can produce it.

Vitamins can be fat or water-soluble. The water-soluble vitamins are difficult for the body to store as compared to the fat-soluble vitamins. Vitamins are always organic as they contain carbon. The source of vitamins is food such as vegetables and fruits but can also be taken as supplements.

The fat-soluble vitamins are vitamin A, E, D, and K, which are accumulated in the liver and fatty tissues. These vitamins can remain kept in the body for longer. The water-soluble vitamins are usually excreted in the urine as they cannot be stored in the body for a longer period. These are vitamin B and vitamin C.

The various functions of the vitamins are:

 1. They help in the release of energy from a certain food. For example, vitamin B.
 2. Certain components of vitamins such as riboflavin, niacin, thiamine, and biotin help in the production of energy.
 3. Vitamin C performs a major role in the production of collagen, which dissolves wounds and provides support to walls of the blood vessels.

Talja [164]

Answer:

implicit memory

Explanation:

Implicit memory, also called nonassociative memory, is memory that evokes skills, word cues, objects, associations, non-association-based learning, and mechanical learning. Learning to drive or ride a bicycle is a good example of using this memory. Although damage to the hypothalamus causes memory-related problems, implicit memory is not impaired by such damage, so the client is able to learn and memorize new activities.
