I did all the work on a piece of paper. So, if you convert 1 meter into cm it would be 100 cm.

1 meter= 100 cm

But, because Alana's jump was 132 cm and Liz's jump was 1 meter or 100 cm Alana's jump was higher.

132 cm > 100 cm

So, Alana's Jump was 32 cm higher than Liz's jump.

1 meter = 100 centimeters = the height of Liz's jump.

132 is greater than 100, so Alana's jump was higher.

I hope this helps! :)

Calculate the number of acres required to produce 1,000 gallons of oil in one year from microalgae and soybeans. Which one (micr
Inessa05 [86]

Answer:

microalgae required less space.

Step-by-step explanation:

Amount of oil to be produced = 1,000 gallons

Now,

We know

10,000 gallons of oil is extracted from the miroalgae per acre per year

and,

From soyabeans the oil extracted = 50 gallons per acre per year

therefore,

To produce 1,000 gallons number of acres required by microalgae

= [ Amount of oil to be produced ] ÷ [ oil extracted per acre from microalgae]

= 1,000 ÷ 10,000

= 0.1 acres

similarly

To produce 1,000 gallons number of acres required by soyabeans

= [ Amount of oil to be produced ] ÷ [ oil extracted per acre from soyabeans]

= 1,000 ÷ 50

= 20 acres

hence,

microalgae required less space.

What is 575% written as a mixed number?
pav-90 [236]

<u><em>Answer:</em></u>

575% as a mixed number is 5\frac{3}{4}

<u><em>Explanation:</em></u>

575% is equivalent to \frac{575}{100} which is equal to 5.75

5.75 = 5 + 0.75

0.75 can be written as \frac{75}{100}. This value can be simplified by dividing both the numerator and the denominator by 25. This would give us \frac{3}{4}

<u>Back to our number:</u>

5.75 = 5 + 0.75 = 5 + \frac{75}{100} = 5 + \frac{3}{4} = 5\frac{3}{4}

Hope this helps :)
