Answer:

A) neither candidate had an Electoral College majority

Explanation:

The year 2000 elections for president were the most disputed in US history. The morning after the election, in a state of technical draw, no candidate had reached the majority, and the decision would last for a matter of manually counting the votes of the state of Florida, which ended in court. In the end, Bush was declared elected president.

Montano1993 [528]

Answer:

Higgs's argument is stronger because Folsom's primary arguments involved quotes. Quotes can be unreliable, especially if chosen with bias from a selected group of people. Beyond that, quotes from people that lived in the moment are often short-sighted and don't understand long term effects. While Folsom does also source historians, he focuses a lot on Roosevelt's interest spending and believes that the money that went back to the American people actually prolonged suffering. Higgs, however, focuses on the short and long-term effects of the New Deal and uses a lot of data to prove his point. While he does have quotes, he doesn't rely on them to make or break his argument, unlike Folsom. Higgs is also able to understand some of the negatives of the New Deal, unlike Folsom who did not pay any attention to the other side of the issue.

s2008m [1.1K]
This is true.

The process described in the statement is known as urbanization. Urbanization discusses how individuals moved from the countryside to the cities for economic opportunities. These economic opportunities were made possible by the inventions developed during the Industrial Revolution. Inventions like interchangeable parts allowed for companies to mass produce goods for the American public.

Write a 2-3 paragraph essay using the following prompt. PROMPT:" White is a metaphor for power" James Baldwin
Paul [167]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

White is a metaphor for power." James Baldwin. Unfortunately so true in the history of the United States.

As we have witnessed the recent horrible events in different parts of the United States regarding race violence, we have to make a stop and truly reflect on the reasons for white supremacy in the country. Since colonial times, the race has been an issue. Even after the Civil War, the lesson was not learned and the nation was still divided. Too many things have happened over the years. But white dominance is still one of the US characteristics in society.

Some people thought that the arrival of Barak Obama to the US presidency would change things and that he could unite the nation but things got worse. The US continues to divide more. And with the new US President, the country is completely divided. So yes, white is still the dominant political and economical force in the United States.
