Answer:

y\geq 3x-4

Step-by-step explanation:

First we find the equation for the graph line y=mx+b

where m is the slope and b is the y intercept

LEts pick two points from the line

(0,-4) and (2,2)

y intercept is -4 , the value of b= -4

to find slope m we use formula

m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1} =\frac{-4-2}{0-2} =3

m=3 and b= -4

EQuation of a line is y=3x-4

Now we write the inequality, we use test point 0,0 that is in shaded region

LEts plug in 0 for x  and 0 for y

y=3x-4

0=0-4

0=-4

0>=-4 is true

So we use >= symbol

y\geq 3x-4

Answer is D
for these you need to look at first what is your y-intercept from this graph it is -4 so that cancels out a and c.
Now you look if the gray area is above or below the line in this case it is above the line so y needs to be greater than the line to be a true statement.

Joel has 24 sports trophies. Of the trophies 1/8 are soccer trophies. How many soccer does Joel have ?
tigry1 [53]

Answer:

We are given that Joel has 24 sports trophies, of the 24 trophies there are 1/8 soccer trophies.

1/8 of 24 is 3.

24 divided by 8 = 3 soccer trophies

There are 3 soccer trophies all the rest of the trophies, which is 21 trophies, will be other sports. 21 trophies + 3 soccer trophies = 24 trophies in total

Step-by-step explanation:

Have a great rest of your day

Jamar drove 228 miles and used 6 gallons of gas.
Klio2033 [76]

Step-by-step explanation:

a)

well, it is kind of written already :

228 miles and 6 gallons.

so, miles/gallon = 228/6 = 38 miles/gallon.

b)

it is not mentioned, but I guess we have to assume that he got the same miles/gallon ratio on this trip as well.

so, again

38 miles/gallon

and he used 9 gallons.

so, he drove 38×9 = 342 miles
