Hello there,

So what we need to find how many number of costumes that can be made using ONLY 11\frac{1}{4}.

The first thing we would do is \frac{3}{4}÷11\frac{1}{4}.

Your answer this this would be \frac{1}{15}.

To recheck this. . . We do \frac{1}{15} x \frac{3}{4}. . .

Your answer would be 11\frac{1}{4}.

That is how you recheck your work.

Your correct answer would be \frac{1}{15}

Hope this helps! :)

turn 11 1/4 into an improper fraction:

11 1/4 = 45/4

 now you have 3/4c = 45/4

now divide both sides by 3/4

c = 45/4 / 3/4 which =  45/4 * 4/3 = 180/12 = 15

15 costumes can be made

Write an equation of a line that is parallel to y=-3x+5 that passes through the point (0,-4)
elena55 [62]

Answer:

{ \rm{y =  - 3x + 5}}

Gradient = -3

• Parallel lines have the same gradient, therefore gradient, m is -3

{ \rm{y = mx + c}}

• At point (0, -4)

{ \rm{ - 4 = ( - 3 \times 0) + c}} \\  \\ { \rm{c =  - 4}}

y intercept is -4

{ \boxed{ \boxed{ \mathfrak{answer : }}{ \rm{\:  \: y =  - 3x - 4}}}}
