Andrew Jackson was a "donkey", and that is why the democratic party sign is a donkey. He was a rebellious against that period. Many people strongly disliked him and did not want him to be president. Adams was well liked for the most part. However, Jackson was the Democratic party pick and the majority of south voted democratic. He forced the relocation of indians. Overall, Jackson was not really fit to be president but he did win.
