Answer:

The correct answer to the question: How does the excerpt exemplify Elizabethan drama?, would be, A: by exploring human emotions.

Explanation:

"The Tragedy of Hamlet", or simply "Hamlet", is a play that was written by author William Shakespeare and it is one of his best known works. Written between 1599 and 1602, "Hamlet" narrates the story of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, whose life is turned upside down when his father is murdered and his mother marries his own uncle. If thought about it, the entire play of "Hamlet" is the every examplification of human emotions, how they play a role in what a person does, what he says and how he acts. Hamlet is basically driven by these very human emotions and he displays them often, to the point that people think he has gone insane with grief. But nowhere is this more clearly displayed than in this excerpt where Hamlet´s words are charged with how overcome he is by his own emotions and feelings regarding the death of his own father, and the time it took his mother to stop grieving him and marrying someone else. THis is why the answer here is A.

Read the following excerpt from The American Crisis and answer the question. Your conduct is an invitation to the enemy, yet not
Oxana [17]
  • In this sentence Paine refers to Tories.

Explanation:

The American Crisis is a pamphlet composed by a series of articles written by Thomas Paine,<em> (He first wrote Common Sense which played a significant part in convincing the colonists to fight for Independence)</em>. The American Crisis main purpose was to support the Revolution when colonists began to withdraw from the army.

Tories or Loyalists were American colonists that remained loyal to Britain, which is the enemy Paine is talking about in the excerpt.

<em>"Your conduct is an invitation to the enemy"</em> in this sentence Paine talks about how Tories wouldn't stand up against Britain, he described them as people that lived in fear and that were not brave enough.

"Yet no one in a thousand of you has heart enough to join him" in this part of the excerpt Thomas Paine is talking about how in a thousand Tories there was not a single person that was brave enough to join the army of Britain, according to him Britain was only interested in having soldiers not Tories.
