At the beginning of the year, Zachary had $40 in savings and saved an additional $20 each week thereafter. Isaac started the yea

r with $85 and saved $11 every week. Let Z(t) represent the amount of money Zachary has saved tt weeks after the beginning of the year and let I(t) represent the amount of money Isaac has saved tt weeks after the beginning of the year. Write the equation for each function and determine the interval of time when Zachary has more in savings than Isaac.

Zachary function:

Z(t) = 40 + 20t

Isaac function:

I(t) = 85 + 11t

Graph each function to see the interval of time when one person has more money than the other.

And here is the other one.

Since BD bisects angle ABC, that means angle ABD and angle CBD are equal to each other. With that set up the equation to solve for x like this:

-4x+33 = 2x+81
-2x -2x
————————
-6x +33 = 81
-33 -33
————————
-6x = 48
————- (divide by -6)
-6

x = -8

Now substitute that to ABD
-4(-8) +33
32 +33
=65

here’s CBD
2(-8) + 81
-16 + 81
=65

Finally angle ABC will be double the amount of ABD or CBD so 65 times 2 is 130.

ANSWERS: (angles)
ABD and CBD: 65
ABC: 130

A jar of peanut butter and a jar of jam cost $10.20 in total. the jar of peanut butter costs $10.00 more than the jar of jam. ho
Olegator [25]
Well this is pretty simple. So the first thought is that the peanut butter would be 10$ and the jam would be 0.20$, however, the peanut butter would not be 10$ more. Instead, subtract the 10$ from the total, which gives you 0.20$, and then divide that by two. Now you have 0.10$ for each, along with another 10$ for the peanut butter. The peanut butter would be $10.10, and the jam would be 0.10$ (that's pretty cheap!).
