Cost of using  the  smaller tiles

Area = 210 * 90 = 18,900
Total number of tiles required  = 18,900 / 100 = 189
That is 5/7 * 189 =  135 white tiles and 54 coloured tlles

Cost = 135*3.99 + 54*4.99  =  £808.11

Larger Tiles:-
Total numbers of tiles = 18,900 / 225  = 84
= 5/7 * 84 =  60 white tiles and 24 coloured tiles

Cost = 60*8.99 + 24 * 9.99 = £779.16

So using the 15 cm square tiles would be cheaper.

Question 3 (Multiple Choice Worth 1 points)
Evgen [1.6K]

Answer:

g(x) = x + 6

Step-by-step explanation:

The parent function is given as:

f(x) = x + 8

We want to find a new function that results after shifting f(x), 2 units to the right.

Let that function be g(x), then

g(x) = f(x - 2)

We replace x by x-2 in f(x) to get:

g(x) = x - 2 + 8

When we simplify, we obtain:

g(x) = x + 6

Which expression is equal to (−4x2−1)(2x2+3)?
Leya [2.2K]

Answer:

The first one:

−8x4−14x2−3

Step-by-step explanation:

(-4•2-1)(2•2+3)

-4•2 = -8

-8 - 1 = -9

(-9)(2•2+3)

2•2 = 4

4+3 = 7

(-9)(7) = -63

Now we find the one that equals -63:

-8•4-14•2-3

(-8•4)-14•2-3

-32-14•2-3

-32-(14•2)-3

-32-28-3

(-32-28)-3

-60-3

-60-3 = -63
