While the Monroe Doctrine had sought to prevent European they took action or should I say they interfered, the Roosevelt Corollary was used to justify US intervention throughout the hemisphere. In 1934, Franklin. D. Roosevelt renounced or should I say he refused to do the action so he made another claim (Which he kept) and established his Good Neighbor policy for the Western Hemisphere.
