(This is what I think, I'm not quite sure) The England established the "Intolerable Acts"to punish the colonists from the Boston tea party because the British lost a lot of money when the tea got thrown over to the harbor because some of the British colonists were protesting.

Sample response: Industrialization impacted the economy in many ways. People began to move from the rural areas into the cities
Sloan [31]

Industrialization impacted the economy in all the ways described by the options:

 1. People migrated from the countryside to cities: urbanization was a key feature of the Industrial Revolution because as the industries developed in urban areas, they demanded labour. On the other hand, in the country side, there was also a techincal and economic change that resulted in the introduction of large scale farming. This resulted in farmers without land that had to migrate.
 2. The Iron industry expanded with the Industrial Revolution: due to technical innovations and the needs of these material by key activities (like the railways), the production of iron soared.
 3. Food was increasingly produced in large scale farms rather than in homes. This was a result of the specialization of the economic activities: farms produced only few goods that would be traded in the market
 4. Cotton industry was one the pillars of the Industrial Revolution. Thanks to innovations and because of the needs of an increasing population for clothing, textile factories demanded more and more cotton which resulted in the rise in its production.
 5. Railroad lines were constructed across Europe during the XIX century. They allowed not only quicker communications between the different cities and countries, but also the transportation of goods between regions.

Answer:

1. i dont know coz its not clear

2.Sufficient soil depth for adequate root growth and water retention; Good internal drainage, allowing sufficient aeration for optimal root growth

3.Named for its rich soils, the Fertile Crescent, often called the “cradle of civilization,” is found in the Middle East. Because of this region's relatively abundant access to water, the earliest civilizations were established in the Fertile Crescent, including the Sumerians

4.The word “mesopotamia” is formed from the ancient words “meso,” meaning between or in the middle of, and “potamos,” meaning river. Situated in the fertile valleys between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, the region is now home to modern-day Iraq, Kuwait, Turkey and Syria.

5.So, Sumerian farmers began to create irrigation systems to provide water for their fields. They built earth walls, called levees, along the sides of the river to prevent flooding. When the land was dry, they poked holes in the levees. The water flowed through the holes and into the thirsty fields.

6.Historians have identified the basic characteristics of civilizations. Six of the most important characteristics are: cities, government, religion, social structure, writing and art.

7.A land with different territories and people under a single rule. ... Ways in which a division of labor contributed to the growth of Mesopotamian civilization were people developed expertise outside of farming, large scale projects were completed and laws and government needed to carry out such projects were developed.

8.Type of Government: Mesopotamia was ruled by kings. The kings only ruled a single city though, rather than the entire civilization. For example, the city of Babylon was ruled by King Hammurabi. Each king and city designed the rules and systems that they thought would be most beneficial for their people.

9.Mesopotamia, the area between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers (in modern day Iraq), is often referred to as the cradle of civilization because it is the first place where complex urban centers grew.

10.The incredibly important invention of the wheel is also credited to the Sumerians; the earliest discovered wheel dates to 3500 BCE in Mesopotamia. Sumerians built ships that allowed them to travel into the Persian Gulf and trade with other early civilizations, such as the Harappans in northern India.

Which of the following best summarizes the fate of President Bush’s proposals on immigration?
Sergeeva-Olga [200]

The answer is A) His approach faced objection from all sides and could not garner enough support for passage. Bush's proposals were rejected by several factors: First) The lack of support and resistance that he faced from not only the Democratic Party but also from within his party because they perceived the projects as measures that were going to reward illegal immigrants. Second) While the reforms offered a different set of opportunities, representatives of the immigrant community saw the focus of the measures as very narrow because it put a lot of importance on family ties. Third) Some labor unions saw the assortment of plans and options of the reforms that will result in a wave of cheap migrant labor, one that they claimed took labor jobs from US citizens.
