Answer: Song technology

The Song Dynasty was an era of Chinese history. It began in 960, founded by Emperor Taizu of Song, and continued until 1279. The Song were conquered by the Mongol-led Yuan dynasty. The Song government was the first one in world history to issue banknotes and the first Chinese government to establish a permanent navy.

The dynasty is also credited for the first known use of gunpowder and gunpowder artillery. This included proto-cannons and other gunpowder weapons, such as the "multiple bullets magazine erupters" and the "flying-cloud thunderclap eruptor."
