I think the type of appeal in this poster is persuasion. The poster was made to persuade Americans into contributing to the war by not sharing any hidden information that could give the opponent an upper hand. "A key to victory," tells the directed audience that this would help their country. The visual images also prove my point because there are no actual facts and it's only trying to persuade you into doing what it's telling you.
